Dr. Marie C. Weil is a bilingual (Spanish/English) clinical psychologist, raised in the southwest US where she maintains a rural, independent psychological practice. In the Veterans Health Administration, she provides culturally relevant psychological treatment to caregivers and families in the caregiver support program of the VISN 2 Clinical Resource Hub/New York Harbor. She is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical health psychology and geropsychology. She has been treating adult and older adult patients with chronic pain for over 14 years with cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) for chronic pain in primary care, outpatient mental health, substance use, and inpatient medical and forensic medical settings, partnering with the American Chronic Pain Association and Veterans, and working on inter disciplinary teams in palliative and hospice care. Dr. Weil was the first certified Empowered Relief® Instructor in New Mexico and now offers Empowered Relief® classes to individuals with chronic pain and their care partners.
